Get in the Game: How to Become a LAX Referee

Are you passionate about sports and looking for a way to get involved in the game? Becoming a referee might be the perfect fit for you! As a referee, you play a crucial role in ensuring fair play and upholding the rules of the game. It's a rewarding and exciting opportunity to be right in the action and contribute to the sport you love.

Before joining, know that boys games are hosted on Saturdays starting in May, with girls jamborees hosted on Sundays. Having availability on those days will be key to getting scheduled in.

If you're ready to take the next step and become a referee, see below on how to get started. Get ready to blow the whistle and make a positive impact on the game!

To become certified official you must attend an officials clinic

The Vermont Lacrosse Officials Association (VOLA) is looking to recruit and train new boys officials for the spring and summer lacrosse programs throughout Vermont. This is a great way to make extra money and stay involved in the lacrosse community.  For more information please visit www.vermontlacrosseofficials.org or email Rob Mullin at pyrofightr@gmavt.net.
